The collection contains lots of backgrounds made from the works of famous botanical and flower artist. Including Redoute, Ellis Rowan, Berge, Shirley Hibberd, Kirby, John Linden, Emma Theyer and many others.

Lots of roses and poppies as well as cacti, dahlias, cyclamens, lillies, mushrooms, toadstools, foliage and trees, fruits, vegetables together with wild flowers and plant species which are no longer seen today. You will be surprised at how little change there has been during the last 200 or so years, despite what the commercial growers and breeders like to tell us.


Downloads are free for personal and charity sites to use on their web pages. (Blogs, live journals and members sites are not personal websites) A link back to The Search Party is required on the page you use the background. Linking details and banners can be found here.

If you have a page on a blog site which is informative and interesting and would like to use a background please contact me giving me details including your site address - I do make exceptions for these sites.

Blog pages - My Space - Face Book etc. - are not personal pages these sites generate enormous income for their owners and commercial rates apply. For user members of these groups please note hot linking is not a good idea, it gives me an opportunity to place my message on your pages, and, as many hot linkers have found out I do - and sending me an email telling me what a naughty person I am for putting a picture of cow entrails on the offending site only increases my amusement. So be warned, SPG has Zero tolerance for hot linkers!
